Job Description:
I am seeking 2 to 8 dedicated and compassionate Assistant Non-Clinical Therapeutic Art Facilitators to join my team as either interns or independent contractors. The plan is for each person In this role, you will work closely with our lead facilitator to assist in the implementation and delivery of our therapeutic art programs. The ideal candidate will have a passion for art and a desire to make a positive impact on the lives of others.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the planning and preparation of therapeutic art sessions based on established program curriculum and participant needs.
Provide support to participants during art activities, offering encouragement and guidance as needed.
Help create a safe and nurturing environment where participants feel comfortable expressing themselves through art.
Assist with setting up and organizing art supplies and materials for each session.
Collaborate with the lead facilitator to evaluate participant progress and adjust program activities as necessary.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the art studio or therapy space.
Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure the well-being of participants and staff.
Provide administrative support as needed, such as record-keeping, data entry, and participant communication.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in art therapy, psychology, counseling, social work, or a related field preferred.
Prior experience working in a therapeutic or supportive capacity with individuals facing emotional or behavioral challenges.
Strong understanding of art techniques and materials, with the ability to adapt activities to meet diverse participant needs.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport and build trust with participants.
Compassionate and empathetic nature, with a genuine desire to help others achieve personal growth and emotional well-being.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
Flexibility and adaptability to respond to the evolving needs of participants and program requirements.
Certification or training in art therapy or related fields is a plus but not required.
